PADI Rescue Diver
Have you ever wished that you have the skills just in case you encounter a diver in difficulty? The PADI Rescue Diver qualification is the certification level that all recreational divers should aim for.
The course develops your knowledge and skills so that you will be a diver who can not only look after themselves, but also others in the water. This is one course where hopefully you'll never need to use the skills you'll learn! You'll be able to effectively manage diving accident situations, perform diver assists, rescues and give first aid.
What's involved
The PADI Rescue Diver course is a 4 day course.
- Homework: Before the course you are required to call into the shop and pick up the accompanying book to start reading!
- Theory: For reference during and after the course you'll receive your own copy of the PADI Rescue Diver Manual. The dive theory sessions consist of a video, completing/checking your theory answers in your book and then an exam.
- Boat/Pool dives: 10 in-water exercises and 2 open water rescue scenarios
- Performance based: All PADI courses are performance based. In other words you need to be able to complete each skill proficiently before we move on to the next one. For that reason we schedule the course over 4 days. This gives us time to get back in and do some more skills practice if required.
- Certification: When you have completed the course we will take your photo and issue you with a temporary certification document. You will then receive your PADI Rescue Diver qualification card direct from PADI in the post.
