| Barry and Shirley Hill set up Dive Rarotonga many (sorry Barry!) years ago in the Cook Islands. Owned for a few years now by Ed an instructor originally from the UK, Dive Rarotonga has achieved many firsts for the Cook Islands including first PADI Dive Centre, first 5 Star Dive Centre, first PADI 5 Star IDC status and our latest achievement first IDC to be run in the Cook Islands. |

| Along with PADI, we are also a BSAC International Diving Resort (#483). This doesn't mean we offer BSAC courses, but we do understand the needs of BSAC divers. | ||||
| Ed owns and runs Dive Rarotonga - here is a bit about him..... | ||||
 Ed
learned to dive in West Norfolk, England with the British Sub Aqua Club,
diving the lovely clear warm waters of quarries and off the East Coast of
England (warm, clear yeah right!). He is
qualified as a BSAC Advanced Diver/Instructor, TDI/SDI Instructor, PADI IDC Staff
Instructor, EFR, Nitrox and Dräger Rebreather Instructor. Whilst working for one of the top PADI CDCs in the UK,
he taught hundreds of willing volunteers in those cold waters! After a
few stints teaching in the warmer waters of Tenerife and the Red Sea he left
his dry suit in the UK and headed to the Cook Islands. He has dive/Instructor qualifications from the following organisations: PADI, EFR, BSAC, SAA, IANTD, and ANDI. Ed also has
formal qualifications in Engineering, IT and teaching. |
